A Place For Us - Speaker's Bureau
D. E. Frazier
Over 40 Years of Experience
D.E. was a a star athlete in High School. He was given a great opportunity to play for Tulsa University on an athletic scholorship. His career in football was extremely promising. The Pine Bluff Commercial touted him as an extraordinary player. He came from a Christian/Military home however, after a couple of years in the dorm like many other athletes D.E. was introduced to a life of drinking and partying and not a lot of studying.
One day he was asked to leave the university so he went into the service. This move proved to be the fish falling out of the pan into the fire. He was stationed in Germany and got involved in heavy drugs and more drinking. He abused drugs and alcohol as most people drink water. After years of this lifestyle he finally found himself in a place where he was tired and ready for a change.
His mother knew the condition of his life but being almost a world away all she could do is pray. She sent him a Bible and then a one way ticket home. He began reading that Bible and got on the plane and came home and as he prayed God delivered him. That has been many many years ago and he's been motivating others that they can also be free from adictions.
